CELEBRATION OF BAPTISM
At Mariners South County, we believe that baptism is a cause for celebration. We hold in-service baptisms throughout the year to celebrate together as a church family.
Baptism is an important step in your journey as a follower of Jesus and an outward symbol of the work He has already done in your life.
Child dedication is a time for parents to make a commitment before the church to raise their children in a faith-filled home. Child dedications are held 3-4 times per year.
Our next child dedications will be held during weekend services in the spring.
For more information about child dedications, or the child dedication class contact Susan: firstname.lastname@example.org
UPCOMING BAPTISM EVENTS
Our next in-church baptism will be during weekend services on November 17 and 18. If you have questions about baptism, please complete the form below.
WHAT IS BAPTISM?
The Bible paints a beautiful picture of baptism as our identification with Jesus in His death, burial, and resurrection. When you make the decision to accept Christ as your Savior, the Bible says that your old way of life is dead, and you are beginning a new life with Christ. Baptism is an outward expression of inner transformation through Jesus.
Accepting Christ as your Savior means you believe that Jesus Christ died on the cross for your sins and that by His death and bodily resurrection, He bridged the gap between you and God for all time. If you have come to this point in your spiritual journey, you are ready to be baptized. If you were baptized as an infant, and now as an adult have made the decision to place your faith in Jesus, you are ready to be baptized.
