IN THE SAME BOAT

Jesus' disciples could not have been more different. Most were typical day-laborers. Some were fishermen. At least one believed that God needed more armed warriors to spark a rebellion against Israel’s oppressor, Rome. Another disciple, because he was a tax collector, was a full-time employee of that oppressor. And, on multiple occasions all of them were literally in the same boat. On the surface, this group should’ve failed from the outset. They had nothing in common. But, together they changed the world.
